Discworld Collection

One series of games I have fond memories of was the Discworld games. I originally played Discworld on the Playstation and really enjoyed it despite some of the puzzles in the game being very frustrating to work out. I have recently started playing through them again though, as I don’t think I ever actually completed any of them. Also I never actually owned the third one in the series so this one has been a recent acquisition for me.

Within the last week, I also managed to grab the big box PC versions of Discworld 1&2. If nothing else these make a great display piece.

Fire Emblem – Path of Radiance

I’m not really a game collector as such, mainly due to lack of space. But I do like to have a selection of original games for each of the consoles. And if you are only to have a few then why not have some rare beauties 🙂

Now I would never go out and this much on a game these days just to sit on a shelf. Most of my rare games are ones I have owned since I was young.

But with this game, I was actually lucky enough to win it in a raffle. So there are no complaints from me here and this now sits proudly alongside my GameCube console.

I guess one day I should play this game to see what it’s all about. It has pretty good reviews from what I can see 😊

Sam Coupé originals

I’m not a collector of software usually as with the number of systems I own that would become a very expensive hobby. But there was no way I could pass on grabbing these original Sam Coupé titles. With not much Sam software being released I hopefully won’t go bankrupt trying to get a complete set! I already have a selection of games including Lemmings and Oh No! More Lemmings so these are a nice addition.

Oliver Twins Collection – Evercade

After backing a Kickstarter for the Fusion Annual 2021. One of the perks was a signed copy of the Oliver Twins Collection for the Evercade. This arrived today so have some great Dizzy games to play through on the Evercade now. I believe these are all NES ports so most are pretty good versions. Although the NES version of Treasure Island Dizzy seems very bland to me. Even the Spectrum version looked better 😛

Spectrum Next Games arrive :)

So after the sucessful kickstarter for the Spectrum Next I decided to support the community and purchase a couple of the commerical games being released for the platform. After a Long, long, long journey from Greece to the UK via land mail (Due to Covid). The games finally arrived today and have been great fun so far. Warhawk is bloody difficult so I need to get used to that but Baggers is space has kept me hooked 🙂
