Peripherals

The Peripherals section of the North Devon Retro Archive covers the hardware that expanded and enhanced the capabilities of home computers and consoles. From joysticks, controllers, and light guns to disk drives, printers, modems, and other accessories, these devices played a vital role in how systems were used and experienced. Often overlooked, peripherals were essential to both gaming and productivity, and in many cases transformed what a machine was capable of doing.

This section documents peripherals from my personal collection, highlighting their design, functionality, and compatibility with different systems. Where possible, entries include photographs, technical details, and notes on condition, repairs, and quirks discovered over time. By preserving and cataloguing these accessories alongside the systems they were designed for, this archive aims to capture a more complete picture of retro computing and gaming as it was originally experienced.
