The Sega Game Gear – a fantastic handheld console that brought the Sega magic to the masses on the go! Released in 1990, the Game Gear was Sega’s answer to Nintendo’s Game Boy, and it packed a punch with its full-color backlit screen, a significant upgrade from the Game Boy’s monochrome display. With a library of games that included Sonic the Hedgehog, Shinobi, and Columns, the Game Gear had something for everyone.
