Roland MT32

The Roland MT-32 is a MIDI synthesizer module released in 1987 by Roland Corporation, designed for professional music production and gaming applications. Utilising linear arithmetic (LA) synthesis, the MT-32 generates high-quality audio, producing a distinctive and rich sound. Its onboard sound engine features a library of 128 preset sounds and 30 rhythm kits, with support for up to 8 channels of MIDI polyphony. The MT-32 was widely adopted in the late 1980s and early 1990s, particularly for gaming and multimedia productions, due to its expressive and nuanced sound capabilities.
