Sega Nomad
The Sega Nomad – a true retro gaming gem! Released in 1995, this 8-bit portable console was essentially a Sega Genesis (known as the Mega Drive outside North America) in a handheld format. Weighing in at a hefty 450 grams, the Nomad was a bit of a brick, but its 3.25-inch color screen and surprisingly decent battery life made it a great way to play classic Genesis games on the go. With a library of around 20 games that worked particularly well with the Nomad’s controls, it might not have been the most practical handheld console of its time, but it’s definitely a beloved collector’s item today.
