3DFX Voodoo 2
The 3dfx Voodoo 2 is a 3D graphics accelerator card released in 1997, succeeding the original Voodoo Graphics chipset. Featuring two Voodoo 2 GPUs and up to 12MB of EDO RAM, the card delivered enhanced 3D performance and support for higher resolutions, including 1024×768 with 16-bit colour. The Voodoo 2 utilised SLI (Scan-Line Interleave) technology, allowing the two GPUs to work together to render 3D graphics. With its improved performance and compatibility with a wide range of games, the Voodoo 2 gained popularity among PC gaming enthusiasts, and it remains a notable milestone in the development of 3D graphics acceleration technology.
